About & Mission
This illustration project is a personal tribute to Jeddah — my hometown and a place filled with memories, meaning, and movement. Through five distinct scenes, I captured the city as I know and feel it, its coastal rhythm, cultural richness, and surreal charm. The mission was to turn nostalgia into visual storytelling, using a limited color palette and stylized forms to reflect both the spirit of the city and the way it lives in my imagination.
Direction
The final illustrations blends reference and fantasy, structured through a consistent grid and unified by a playful, dreamlike art style. Each illustration was carefully composed to balance detail with simplicity, using bold typography and symbolic elements like birds, desert scenes, and cosmic touches to evoke a nostalgic mood. The result is a cohesive visual narrative that celebrates Jeddah not just as a place but as a feeling that is colorful, surreal and deeply personal.
